The Battle of Beiden Pass is a special, 2-player boxed set that is 100% compatible with the rest of the Legend of the Five Rings cards. It is designed to quickly and easily teach new players how to become involved with the struggle for the Emerald Empire. The set recreates the most famous early battle of the Clan War in a fun and engaging way.The box contains two complete 70 card decks, including a Stronghold card for the Dragon and Crab Clans. Included are two rare cards sold nowhere else, Dairya, and the Monstrous War Machine of Fu Leng. The set also includes cards from the Basic Set, SHADOWLANDS and FORBIDDEN KNOWLEDGE. All the cards in the set have a jet black border, so they are visually distinct from all other sets. They have the standard L5R backs and are approved for tournament play.You'll also get two rulebooks - the first, the BASIC TRAINING guide is a step by step, turn by turn system for learning how to play L5R. The second, the EXPERIENCED WARRIOR'S GUIDE is the complete text of the rules found in every Starter Deck - at full 8 1/2"x 11" size! But wait, there's more! You'll also get two letters, one from the Dragon and Crab Clan Champions telling you what is going on at the Pass, and recommending strategy.
